Sterling has developed a HSE Management System in line with Company’s HSE Policy. The HSE Management System is to ensure that all Sterling activities are carried out in a safe manner in accordance with the Company’s policy on Health, Safety and Environment. The manual is a basic guide to Health, Safety and Environmental issues for all Sterling personnel and other personnel involved in our operations, and should be read and understood by all.
A copy of this manual will be kept at all our offices, worksites and production facilities including all installations working for Sterling. When required, a special “Project Safety Manual” will be issued to incorporate any project specific safety requirements, required either by client or by authorities. This manual sets the "standard" for safe work, it does not cover every aspect of safety.
Special circumstances will occur that require judgement, experience, and common sense of each individual. Each person will be expected to act in way that will as far as possible ensure the welfare of himself and his fellow workers.
The use of the principles in this manual together with "common sense" will be the basic elements in our common commitment to create a safe working environment.
