Sterling is establishing the operations base including a highly qualified professional team for upstream operations from drilling to production with the aim to achieve Sterling’s 1st oil online within 24 months from the date of signing Sterling’s 1st ever PSC for the onshore OPL 277 block with the Government of Nigeria.
Although OPL 277 block in Nigeria is the 1st oil and gas block for Sterling, it itself is a milestone as Sterling has become an Operator in an OPEC (Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries) country. In addition to this, Sterling has plans to implement a fast track project to produce oil within 24 months from the exploration block.
